Rereading: Prayer For The Homeless, Written 12 December, Feast Day of Our Lady of Guadeloupe
@ August 1, 2010, I reread old(er) blog posts at random. December 2008 was a record, bone-chilling winter in YVR. On a lengthy transit ride I did witness the homeless. By ‘homeless’ I do not distinguish as ‘recent eviction’ or ‘by choice.’ Social activists labour to continuously highlight the fact that YVR has a homeless population in that shelter (affordable or physically built) is not available. Thus, when I returned ‘home’, I did so feeling a renewal of gratitude. Yet I wonder, if I were to be(come) evicted, what might happen to a retired school teacher who lives as shabby gentry?
This post was a first time I managed to locate a graphic (Microsoft Clipart Downloads) and add text. It seems aeons ago I was managing self-instruction to learn how to efficiently use all of the technological wonderment of software purchased @ about $150.00 (plus taxes, CAD).
